Like many parents, we’ve spent countless hours searching for solutions to help our children feel better, sleep better, and thrive. For us, that journey led us down a very personal and unexpected path—one that eventually became TALLO naturals.

It all started with our kids.

From the time they were one, all three of our kids struggled with persistent eczema and dry skin. Living in Utah, winters were cold and dry and made it even worse. Their skin was red, dry, inflamed, and painfully irritated—especially during changes in weather or after bath time. We tried it all: the gentle washes, the fragrance-free lotions, the pediatrician-recommended creams. Nothing seemed to work for long, and we were increasingly uncomfortable with how many chemical ingredients were in these "gentle" solutions. 

As parents, it was heartbreaking to watch our little ones constantly scratching or waking up at night in discomfort. So we decided to try something different: going back to the basics—simple, nourishing ingredients that our bodies crave.

That’s when we started experimenting with beef tallow.

Yes, tallow. Rendered from grass-fed organic beef fat, it might sound unusual at first—but it’s one of the most bio-compatible, vitamin-rich moisturizers nature has to offer. We combined it with other natural ingredients like organic coconut oil, extra-virgin olive oil, and vitamin E to create a whipped, creamy balm that was free of preservatives, synthetics, and irritants. It also mimics our bodies natural oils for moisturizing our skin. We thought it was a little weird at first until we understood that other products we were buying were scientifically engineered with chemicals and products attempting to mimic what tallow provided naturally.

The results were nothing short of amazing.

Our children's skin responded almost immediately. Within days, the redness and itching had calmed, and so had we.

From there, word began to spread. Friends and family wanted jars. Then their friends. People using it as their daily moisturizer or those with dry skin, cracked hands, sensitive baby skin, or stretch marks started reaching out. We realized this little jar of whipped tallow had the power to help people feel better in their skin—literally.

That’s how TALLO naturals was born.

Today, every jar is still handmade in small batches with the same level of care we first used for our kids. We use only natural, recognizable ingredients, and we never add anything you wouldn’t feel comfortable putting on your child—or yourself.
